If you decide to purchase your LIMS app licence, you become the owner of the LIMS app purchased for a predetermined length of time. You therefore have full control of your IT infrastructure. The purchase costs, however, are higher. If, however, you prefer to take the rental option for your LIMS app (SaaS), you pay a subscription fee for your licence and reduce the installation costs, whilst maintaining a high level of mobility.
Some provision for additional costs should be included in your budget. For example, if you also want to access your data whilst travelling, there is a mobile version of the LIMS app that should be added to your web software. Training should also be envisaged to ensure that you master your LIMS app. Finally, don’t forget to find out about maintenance. At AQ Manager, annual maintenance is directly included in the price of the LIMS app licence.
